GET TO KNOW US

We are Solomon and Amanda Dixon and we are here by way of Buffalo, New York with our four children. You can read our bios by clicking below and it will tell you all about Amanda’s background as an elementary teacher in traditional classrooms and Solomon’s work in middle schools around social emotional development through break dancing, spoken word poetry, music and writing. We are the owners, the teachers and the curriculum developers of Forever Wild.

THE CURRICULUM

Forever Wild Members participating in our enrichment program will be taught through our very own curriculum aligned to the United States learning standards for reading, writing, and math.

Alongside these literacy themed monthly units, we work on building bonds, community and confidence. We strengthen our voices to help us in all we do, and in turn, to help others.

While in the Dominican Republic for 3 years, we had opportunities to add on visits to the coffee farm, local waterfall, private language lessons, whale watching, snorkeling, horseback riding at sunset, ziplining and private in home cooking lessons. All of these were in addition to our Forever Wild academic curriculum.

Now that Forever Wild is a traveling enrichment program, we look forward to adding on weekly trips to learn about the cultures in the countries we are in.

What does a typical day look like?

BUILT IN COMMUNITY

You are ready to travel. You want the kids to do school. Your kids want friends. And you, you need adult interaction. When we started this program in 2021, we imagined it to be a great place for children. A real children's garden. And yes, it is a great place for children. What we also learned was how the children come with amazing families to have built in playdates, playground days, babysitters, moms' nights, dinners, beach and pool days. We have found amazing friendships with families all over the world. We are never short on conversation topics when it comes to traveling families!
